Welcome to the June 2012 Full Circle Wellness Newsletter

Welcome to June’s Full Circle Wellness newsletter!

Fun Winter Fitness Ideas:
We all know that exercising during winter requires intense will-power (it’s hard to motivate yourself to get out from under the warm blankets and put down the hot chocolate to go for a run or to the gym). I’ve put together some articles on fun fitness activities that you can do to stay fit this winter, as well as stay motivated and have fun!

Pole Dancing – yes, pole dancing! Lower those raise eyebrows and read here how pole dancing not only promotes strength, endurance and flexibility, but is currently under review to be entered into the Olympic Games as a sport! We chatted to The Scar-Lit Box whose new studio in Diep River, Cape Town offers fun, sexy classes to keep you toned and strong.

Hula Hooping – remember that thing that we used to do as kids? It’s making a very cool come-back. Hula Hooping promotes cardio endurance, core strength and flexibility (and it’s a little harder than you might remember!). We chatted to Shouniez & Shaheen Van Der Schyff, who initiated a “Hoop-a-thon” to raise funds for the SPCA in Wellington.

Boot Camp Classes:
We are proud to announce our July Boot Camp Series! Boot camp classes build cardio endurance, increase strength and promote weight-loss. No matter your fitness level, everyone is welcome to join this “boot camp style” group training in a fun, relaxed environment. Classes are affordable so everyone is able to participate.

Boot Camp Classes for July will be on Thursday nights in Meadowridge. Click
here to view more information or to register.

We also are looking into running a morning boot camp class, provisionally 07h00 – 08h00, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Meadowridge. If you are interested, please email me to firm up the details.

The temporary change in our Boot Camp schedule for July is due to me instructing Pilates classes on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Kim Buchholtz Physiotherapy. Those that are interested in attending Pilates classes, please contact Kim directly
here. Boot Camp classes will resume on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from August. Apologies for the temporary change in the schedule.
